Newspaper is compatible with WPML since April 2017, but even if it’s compatible there’s still a lot of things to modify.
One thing that really annoys me is the WPML language switcher not working when used in the Top menu. The problem is that the WPML menu works on hover. But when you hover over the language from the drop-down, the dropdown disappears. Can I please get a quick fix for this? We’re going live in 2 days.

Please keep in mind that the WPML plugin was tested with the theme and should works as expected. Try to disable all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Even with other plugins disabled it didn’t work. I’ve fixed it by using a custom WPML language switcher and inserted it into the template which I had to rewrite in child theme.
