I consistently get this notification “WPML Plugin is active! When the plugin is active, the *.po – *.mo files are used instead of Theme Panel Translation.”. When I dismiss it comes back after reloading the page. It appears to be a message from Newspaper rather than WPML.
Any thoughts on how I could get rid of this message? Thanks!
Hi,
That is indeed a message from the theme, it is coming from here
– http://prntscr.com/nvsxz0
It can’t be removed permanently from what I can see, seems it keeps reappearing on each refresh. I will make a note of it and it will be investigated. It should appear only once, and when dismissed it shouldn’t appear anymore. Sorry for this inconvenience.
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Any news on this?
I do understand why you push this front left and center, because it must have created loads of support questions for you. I did ask, how translations work.
But now, after one week, I do know it.
How can I permanently switch this off?

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no general option for this, you must remove/comment the line of code from theme files as Simion suggested -> https://prnt.sc/nvsxz0
Thank you for your understanding!
I must admit that I consider this a violation. A violation of your powers, a violation of the spirit WordPress rules, and a violation of me.
No one plugin or theme should ever put up a notification for eternity! That is not not what notifications are for.
In the end, the only reason why you do this, is because you want to reduce support requests. But, if your theme panel or any part of your design is so poorly executed that it generates too many support requests, then it is on you to design this differently.
It is not OK to force this non-notifications onto me.
