Wrong ampersand display in dropdown placeholder – Flex Loop Filters

Hi there,

I’ve created a custom taxonomy in ACF called “Eat, Drink & Stay” and used it inside the “Flex Loop Filters” element. The filter type is “Dropdown” with the selection “Multi”.

Unfortunately, there is a bug in displaying the taxonomy name inside the placeholder.
Instead of “– Select eat, drink & stay –“, it displays “– Select eat, drink &amp stay –” (https://prnt.sc/qptt9Zy_kwm5).

Please let me know what could be done to display the standard ampersand (&) symbol instead of “&amp”.
I would really appreciate your help in this regard.

Thank you!

Hello,

I just checked, and for me this error doesn’t appear https://i.imgur.com/4yyLMjB.png. Please try to set it up again and check after.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,

Thank you for your reply!

The problem doesn’t occur when it’s about the dropdown filter with a single selection. That’s why you don’t see the problem at your end. As I noticed, the filter you indicate in the screenshot is a single selection.

However, when it comes to multi-selection (https://prnt.sc/ipdMx5frumAK), then the placeholder is displayed as I stated (https://prnt.sc/y9mLDbT7dsaK).

I’ve tried several times to reconfigure and re-save the custom taxonomy in ACF, but without success. The ampersand keeps displaying wrong within the multi-selection filter, no matter what I do.

Please advise.

Thank you!

Hello,

I did a test, and for me is not displayed https://i.imgur.com/oMM5rBQ.png. Please do a test using only tagdiv plugins and check afterward. Maybe you have a plugin that caused the issue.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,

Thanks again for your reply!

I forgot to mention that the bug is not visible in edit mode, but only when viewing the page in the frontend. The ampersand displays fine for me as well when editing the page with TagDiv Composer, but not in the frontend.

I already tried to troubleshoot the problem, but it’s not related to any plugin conflict.

Could it be a problem with this element, “Flex Loop Filters”, so that it doesn’t reflect the standard symbol, but the character reference?

Thank you!

Hello,

We are sorry for the delay. I also tested, on the frontend -> https://i.imgur.com/IDn50oI.png
Also, we can take a look so please get in touch with us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the wp-admin access.

Thank you!
