Wrong categories are being assigned

Hi, when posting an article, it is showing up into additional categories, ones which have not been selected. For e.g if I select category A and category B, category C is automatically added even though it is not selected. It is not a plugin issue because I have disabled/enabled all of them and checked. However, I disabled Newspaper and ran Twenty Nineteen which fixed the issue. What would be the way to get rid of this this?

Hi,

Please proved me a link to your website were I can inspect this problem on a post ( also please provide some details about the categories that you have set on that post and the category that is automatically add ).

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Calin. I figured out the issue. We have a lot of categories on the website, so selecting a sub-category would also display the parent category tags on a post. Enabling Category Tags Display Order fixed that. Now only the sub-categories selected show up. So the issue is resolved.
