regarding the new update — thank you!
QUESTION:
since I need to do some simple “mods” for the classic template stuff, before uploading the new version via FTP; I thought I’d ask if you folks remembered to update the Twitter icon in this new version, before I start the hacking and whacking?
If not, maybe push a quick .1 update?
Thanks – just asking out of paranoia. Don’t want to have to do all my little mods for stuff like the search drop down and couple other things second time for new edition.

Can you also change the API URL from https://twitter to https://x please? When you click on the X icon to share an article, it directs to the twitter URL.. It still works for posting on X but that should be changed I think.
Alto the tooltip when you hover on X icon says “Twitter”..

X.com redirects to twitter.com, so no real reason to change that as the site still resolves as twitter when viewing online, and Musk might change his mind on using x.com for something else.
With twitter.com still being used for “X” — most sites still referring to it as twitter or X/Twitter.
There is no posting on x.com as there is no x.com website in use (yet? maybe never?).
Put another way, the APIs and such still point at twitter.
Just a thought (I don’t work here).
heh… it was top of mind for me in moving from 3x to 5x, and checking for stuff like the X icon, and testing php 8.2x etc. I literally just updated the 5x version to latest 5x version for that security fix stuff, so one week ago was just looking at this kind of thing too. (My old site still had a G+ share link on it, if you want to LOL.) 🙂
