Yoast SEO keeps telling me the followings,
“Outbound links: No outbound links appear in this page.
Internal links: No internal links appear in this page,
Image alt attributes: No images appear on this page”
But I do have all of the above in the post (links and images). Why do I see these discrepancies? Also, does it affect negatively in google if Yoast SEO doesn’t give me the green sign?

Just use newspaper 9, and your problem will gone. Tagdiv should drop yoast seo from compatible plugin list in newspaper X.
