Hello @iancollins !

You should press the button “Enter” from your keyboard, and it will refresh that element.
The gap is working as well. You can’t see because you added padding to your columns.

If you do not need any gaps, then you can apply here: https://prnt.sc/TfPjc2eHE9um.
By default, there are some paddings.
There is a difference, and the gap is applying as it should: https://prnt.sc/nmdqMHgiHMQo -> https://prnt.sc/AC-B01m9nPSJ
Black lines are column borders, and the red lines are the elements that you will use on your website.

Thank you!

Thx Bettina
I now understand the enter process to get the element refreshed, TY.
But as this video shows, it appears that a) the 3 columns do not span the entire width of the row and b) when you have borders, the gap does not show.

Would appreciate your help further.

BTW you mention there are some padding by default. Where do i view and edit these please?
I tried again with gaps but my only conclusion is that your system is not applying the gap correctly. Instead of moving the columns apart, it is moving the content within the column. This shows clearly when you have a border. The borders of adjacent columns still touch but the content has reduced in width. To me this seems like an illogical approach. It also explains your comment about having padding inside the column causing the problem. In CSS you can have margin outside the container and padding inside the container independent of each other. And you can have a gap between columns however you wish to implement that. Because my design has border it shows up this problem. Without the border you would never know.

Hello @iancollins !

All these changes will reflect on your frontend as you set them there in Composer.
The bottom line did not display there because you pressed double Enter.
We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A -> https://prnt.sc/icoqdTR9_DMS
The default gap for columns and paddings around the element comes from CSS. You cannot change the default values in Composer. Only overwriting the values as I showed you to set 0 value (also for the column gap value, please). After that, try to set the borders on the elements with other colors, so you can easily understand.
Yes, the column gap creates the gap inside the columns and not between them: https://prnt.sc/TMBS8Q2nyu_G

Thank you!

Thanks for your help. How strange that you have implemented things like this, most unconventional. Also hitting enter or enter twice is rather ambiguous. But hey… I have implemented this without gaps cos frankly, it just doesnt work when you have borders.
Cheers

Hello @iancollins !

Yes, you can set a width in percent for your columns. The full width of the row is 100%.
When you add 33% to your column, the editor will wait a value to the other columns as well. That’s why the column size and the image will decrease in size. After you add that value, please press Enter. The element will be gray, and it refreshes automatically. Please add the next value after the element refreshes.
Those glitches will not save like that on your frontend. For the second issue, if you save and refresh the composer, then you can see the columns and edit them.

Thank you!

I am having similar problems again and really, this never used to be like this and is extremely frustrating. An inner row with 3 columns and the row shows as having about 50px margin/padding. I have set inner row and all columns to 0 top/bottom padding and margin, but it makes no difference. And when I make these changes, my inline text changes position depending on what i am doing, and then i find i cannot select that column. so i have to save and refresh to get back control. After you have done that 20 times or more it really does question why i am using this software. it seems to have seriously deteriorated recently/.

I now discover that when rendered the margin is not there. So basically your editor is no longer wysiwyg
