YouTube API doesn't work

Hi there,
As per the instructions on how to set up a YouTube API – I’ve inputted it into my Newspaper theme and it says it’s not valid as it has to be a URL: https://forum.tagdiv.com/youtube-api-key/
I can confirm I’m on 10.3 and that I’ve tried putting it into: Theme Panel > Social Network > YouTube API.

Furthermore, and I’m not sure if the two are linked, but the YouTube widget fails to pull in the right subscribers – in fact, it has it at 0 at all times.
This is an issue when I go to appearance > widgets > TAGDIV Social Counter > YouTube.

This is my channel (isn’t a user): channel/UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw
And that’s what I’m pasting into the block in the widget section and the Social Network part of the theme panel.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Here’s my site: https://totallyev.net/

Hello !

The warning regarding a invalid url is a bug at the moment which will be fixed in the future update. That you can ignore.

As for the social counter please make sure that you are copying the correct id: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/

Let us know the result.

Thank you !

Hi Vlad,

So, does that mean that the copied in bit is still valid, even though it has the warning?
As for the social counter – I’ve done all those steps and even tried with a user (not a channel) and it still doesn’t work.
As mentioned, I paste in: channel/UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw

Please let me know a solution.

EDIT: just tried with a USER, and it worked.
But if I add channel/UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw, as per the instructions, it doesn’t work.
This seems like a bug.

FYI: I also tried:
/channel/UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw
/UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw
UCieBf1ieW9fX1CD-FTdFCAw

And also tried using my user ID which I found via YouTube’s settings; that didn’t work either.

I’ve also just updated to 10.3.1 and having an issue displaying videos on our homepage, I’ve set up the API as per instructed but now the youtube module displays “Video ids were not found or can’t be retrieved.”

Fixed my issue by using channel ID rather than specific videos.

Can I get an answer on this, please?

This has now been sorted – was simple. Simply, SHOW subscriber numbers via YouTube settings.
According to Simion over support: the theme draws the publicly available figure from YouTube, and that’s what is shown on the widget/website.
