Youtube playlist iPad

Hi,

I noticed that when opening my website on iPad (http://tafeltennisprimeur.nl) it opens the YouTube app because I have a YouTube playlist on my homepage. At first you can deny YouTube to be opened, but once you have had it opened once you can’t go back to the site anymore: it will continously return to the YouTube app.

Is there a way to prevent this? I don’t mind being able to access the YouTube app but it shouldn’t interfere with a proper usage of the site.

Hello Ying-Fu,
I tested this on my end with every device i could find (including ipad, phones android + ios) but could not recreate the issue. It could be a setting from your application. Please try it with a different device to see if it behaves the same.

Hi Bogdan,

Found out what caused it. I used a plugin called WP App Enabler which turns a homescreen bookmark into a web-app. And that’s why this occurred. Since the plugin is no longer supported I disabled it so now the bookmark just opens the site in Safari and all is well 😉
