Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. I guess I have found a simpler way of doing this using the xml export functionality of wordpress.

Hey guys,
Your suggestion worked. Thanks a lot. Could you also give me an ideal image dimensions for your theme. Is it 745×483?. So that the featured image and the thumbnails are generated perfectly.
