Chris, you are still “trolling” on this thread? Really? Why don’t you grow up and get a life. This is none of your business so stay out of it – or maybe it is, which is why you are responding. Maybe you should work for them and actually get paid for it since you spend so much time responding to their inquiries on their forums. Do you really think I am going to give my login information to someone who has a signature at the end of their email that says Catlin L. and Alin V. they want my login information but cannot provide me a phone number, last name or name of the company they represent and their position. I don’t know who these people are, they can barely speak English, put a proper sentence together and sound like robots not even responding to the questions that I am asking them, why would I give them my information?
If they sold that many products why don’t they have a phone number where you can reach them at? Don’t you think that is a little bizarre? That is not how you conduct business, especially if you are claiming to have such a huge customer base. It’s been weeks and their API is still down and I cannot activate the theme with my purchase code. Would you like me to post pictures of the conversation here so I can tell you how ridiculous their response is and how frustrating it is that I can not get a strait answer regarding this? Envato told me it is not their problem. I am not getting any help with this issue. Wouldn’t you be pissed if you kept getting this same message and someone kept emailing you responses circling around the issue like a politician and refusing to give you a straight answer or solution? If I could post a picture here of what I’m talking about I would so you can see what I’m dealing with. I sent them a picture via email and told them repeatedly that I can not activate the theme manually or automatically because it says the API is down and they cant activate the purchase code. I normally do not handle issues this way but after two weeks of being tossed back and forth I am beyond frustrated and yes my attitude is horrible. If it is not tagdiv’s problem then please someone give me the contact information to whos problem it is because everyone is telling me it is not their problem so far, I purchased it from envato and they told me to contact tagdiv. It is very confusing, why cant I speak with the appropriate person. The theme was $59 and I planned on using it for 3 or 4 of my websites. I was really excited that it had the features I wanted in a theme without having to use plugins or hire someone to build the features in. I am one person trying to do many things and I am trying to save time by making these purchases, I am meeting with authors and other writers and have a ton of content waiting to be posted to my site and I cannot do anything because I am at a complete standstill – my previous site has been completely wiped out and the maker of the theme I started with stopped upgrading the theme.
I chose this theme because I didn’t want to have that problem and THOUGHT I would have some sort of support with a company that is continuing to innovate their themes. I would have been a very loyal customer had this not worked out this way. If you did days of research to pick out a proper theme and landed one, paid for it then could not activate your purchase for two weeks while your prior site is totally wiped out and there is dummy content on my site wouldn’t you be ready to pull your hair out? The customer service is not helping me AT ALL. I have responded to their emails several times and they are not hearing me at all – they are totally skating around the issue – which is why I said I am being scammed. Is there anyone out there that can help me with this – at this point I obviously need a refund. I am in tears. This has been a horrible experience for me – I am working very hard to get something off the ground as a small business owner, it is very frustrating to keep hitting this kind of road block with b.s companies who misrepresent themselves and their product. So far this has been MY experience.

I still cannot activate my theme, your customer service has been of no help to me, I am still receiving the same message when I try to activate my theme in wordpress- API is down cannot activate theme. I will assume this is a scam and write a review on rip off report regarding my experience. Your customer service sounds like an automated response and not an actual person – it is a very simple question I am asking and I cannot get an answer. The customer service person just leaves a first name and first letter of their last name as a signature, I am not giving them my login information when I don’t even know who they are. Their impersonal response feels like I am talking to a robot and not an actual person. I cannot activate the theme I paid for and other consumers need to be aware of the risk involved making a purchase with your company. I told you on this thread and I told the person via customer service that emailed me that I cannot activate my theme because it says the API is down, they keep telling me to manually activate it and I have been trying everyday. IT DOES NOT WORK AND SHE KEEPS REPEATING HERSELF LIKE A ROBOT TELLING ME TO DO THE SAME THING AND IT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM WHEN I HAVE SENT HER SCREEN SHOTS AND SAID I HAVE TRIED IT A MILLION FUCKING TIMES AND IT IS NOT WORKING. YOUR COMPANY IS A SCAM
LOL I realize that – regarding the universe and its not so nice “gifts”. I am hoping to have the same future with TD themes, off to a bad start but moving forward. Thanks for your advice, it is appreciated
Thank you! I really appreciate your concern. I downloaded the theme again and it seems to be working the way the demo was now, however all the work that I have done since yesterday has been removed, nothing transferred over. My social options that were programmed, all header and footer info – totally wiped out. I spent 8 hours strait and that is a lot of work for a do it yourself theme. A lot was changed. I STILL cannot activate the theme manually or otherwise, I am hoping someone will respond soon. I thought about facebook, but I would like to use social media as a last resort. This has been a frustrating experience as a consumer. Tagdiv/Envato needs to have a more reliable customer service avenue for people to reach out to. If you have millions of customers then you will most likely have millions of issues as well – its just how it works. I own A LOT of domain names and I will not pay developers to test waters with some of my sites, once I am fixated on it and believe it is a go I will then invest. This is why I use these services and expect them to be reliable and responsive – hold up to their claims. Hopefully it will go more smoothly from here on out. Thank you for your advice x
Yes – I have tried it manually which I stated in my first post (I apologize I did not state that in my first post, it was an email I sent to tagdiv that got sent back), I have tried it every hour of the day since I purchased it last night. IT IS STILL GIVING ME THE SAME MESSAGE. API IS DOWN, CANNOT ACTIVATE THEME, PLEASE TRY LATER. There is no way for me to contact them to resolve this issue or else I would. I have researched every avenue to do so. My only resort is to respond to this thread. I realize that millions of items have been sold. THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT IT. Even though I may have purchased a theme that even a 10 year old could navigate through that does not mean that I do not know what I am doing here. I have tried everything and it is still giving me the same message. Envato’s response was to contact the theme maker which is tagdiv and that is why I am here because there is no other way to contact them other than creating a post in this forum.
Very poor customer service, I think tagdiv should let their highly rated UK partners know that there is a place that we go to here in the US to report these kind of things. If I cannot utilize a product I have purchased, wouldn’t it be fair to say I have been ripped off? I cannot activate the theme I paid for with the activation code that was provided to me when I purchased it because THEIR API is down. At the very least I deserve to know when their technical issue plans to be fixed or some sort of response that is reasonable regarding my issue. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this product, it came with the services I was looking for and was reviewed as being a highly trusted source!
My experience so far is that the theme is not able to be activated because they are having an internal technical issue and there is no contact phone number, email address, or any other type of way I can contact a developer or human being to ask them why this is happening. From a customers prospective this is a frustrating experience. And without customers you don’t sell millions of products.
What is driving me even more up the wall is that envato’s marketing team is spamming the hell out of my email to purchase more products from them when I cant even get the first one to work.

I am still recieving the same message when I go to activate the theme. I downloaded it by I cannot activate it with my purchase code because the API is down. I am still receiving the same message. The envato API IS DOWN AND WE CANT VERIFY YOUR PURCHASE CODE. Please try again later. Sorry about this.
This is extremely frustrating, I would expect this on a free theme but not for something I just paid for. There is no customer support, I cannot get in touch with anyone from envato – my only resort is this forum. I need this to be fixed asap, I have deadlines to meet – please help. As far as I’m concerned, at this point I have been totally ripped off of the product I purchased, because I cannot activate the purchase code and utilize the features that were advertised by your company.
