i also use WP SUPER CACHE as this was recommended plugin. But still same issue.

You need to purchase a copy and activate it. But do not update to version 5.2, it does not work with this Theme.

We want to add custom fields to post types.

Think we will use Advanced Custom Fields (https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/). However, is this plugin compatible with Newspaper 8?
