Hi ,
Thanks for your response Catalin. sure, i’ll share my site url below.

http://www.avidmediainteractive.com/woman/2017/07/1086/

In this article, i want to disable article top ad,article bottom ad and article inline ad.

can we do this by using a separate custom post template. so then i can customize the article page only for a selected set of articles.

Ideally, what i want is, in the post editor screen there will be a drop down to select the template for the post. when i select this new template for the post, no ads will appear on that page.

I hope that you can understand my problem and i’m waiting for the solution.

Thanks.

Hi Catalin,

Instructions in https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/is not in English.

Would you mind translate what is said there for me?

Thanks for replying Bogdan.

I tried both these methods, and in both occasions the Facebook comments plugin also get disabled. I use ‘Super Socializer’ plugin for FB comments.

Please help, I only want to eliminate that ‘No Comments’ line from the post pages. (and leave FB comments plugin without a trouble).

Thanks laraklopp / Catalin,

Problem resolved. I’m actually learning WP along the way customizing this template, so sometimes I get confused whether to go on generic WP dashboard or on Theme Panel to make certain customization.

Hi Catalin,

Yes, this helps to understand where the sidebar is set for the category. But it still doesn’t address my problem, how to customize/edit the sidebar. For example, I have something called “Default sidebar” selected for my category. My question is, how can I add or remove widgets to this Default Sidebar.

Thanks Bogda,

I decided to change the layout of the Latest Articles section (with no sidebar) and keep it for the moment. Once you fix the comments issue, I will use the other option to remove this section all together.

Thanks Mecburlar. It did removed the “Latest Articles” section, but it completely messed the sidebar of my site. Using Pagebuilder+Title made the entire site content area to shrink.

Tried “Default Template” option, and then it shows a comments section in the home page. (Even though I have disabled comments on pages from Newspaper theme panel.
