Thank you, Catalin. I got it. Just for further clarification, for others –

If you want your sign in/ login to re-direct somewhere OTHER THAN WordPress login, it’s as simple as two steps:
1. modify top-menu.php.
A. Replace with your link.
B. Delete td-login-modal-js from the a class so that the popup will not be applied.

2. ALSO – you must modify login.php so that the MOBILE version also redirects. Here:
