I have never had to use a plugin to do this with any other theme…ever. Usually you can just go into the file and switch out the wordpress code.

If I do use a plugin (recommendations?), wouldn’t it still leave the ‘created’ date?

Thank you for the info. My concern is that security sites often state things such as “Stop user enumeration. So users/bots cannot discover user info via author permalink.”. The username is available via the author page, that’s an issue, which gives the hackers 50% of what they need. (note I am not using admin, and have strong password)

However, the overall thing is that I just don’t want it to go to the author page, but to another page in the site (basically the “about” page). I have done this with other themes easily, but there are so many blocks and other things with Newspaper, I can’t find where in the code to be able to change this. Thanks for any help!
