My issue is solved. I was running the Youtube Pro plugin, when I deactivated it everything worked as it should.

When I activate my previous theme, the youtube videos works perfectly. Also when I embed anything else it works perfectly. I believe this is specific to this theme. Is there a way I can share my credentials with you, so that this can be resolved.

I’m having the same issue and I trie to replicate your screenshot and still get the whitespace on my site. Is there a certain plug in I should have?
