unfortunately we sometimes still get old posts as most read that have hardly been called since being posted. If you use post_views_last_48/24_hours the value is way off the real calls. Sometimes we have thousands of hits on one page. The largest value in Post_views today is 97. And it is an old one again.

Is it possible to at least restrict the results to a timeframe like last week or last two days?

Or not. I have been on the staging site that is blocked for google.

Nobody has been on that site for a week. It lists posts from some time ago as most popular last 48h. Where do those values come from? While testing the list was empty when nobody clicked anything. So it worked fine before. I did not change anything on that site when going life with a copy.

Update: The listing of the old posts resulted from google indexing some old posts for the first time. So they have in fact been read.

Unfortunately I still do not know how the ranking is calculated and how to include cached pages.

Unfortunately this morning we have a huge problem. Posts from 10 or even 20 years ago are listed as most popular within 48 hours that have only been read one ore two times. The list changes by the minute with more an more old posts. I had to remove this flex block from all templates for damage control.

How is the popularity calculated? Do you use the views shown in the posts list? One of the posts creating my problem has 20 views listed but has only been opened once. post_views_last_48_hours in posts_meta is 1.

My original question was about to few actual views counted possibly due to caching. Now it is the other way round.

Please help this is urgent since this list controls out daily newsletter as well.

I use W3 Total Cache Page Cache. Do you have an option for page cache in the theme?

The site has up to 70.000 page views per day and is way to slow without page cache.

run a lighthouse test on these test pages: https://wptest7.atricos.de/image-test-1/ and https://wptest7.atricos.de/image-test-2/.

The first contains an image and text, the second only text. Both where created with tagDiv Composer.

Results from my lighthouse tests on a desktop:
image-test-1 (image + text): CLS 0.4 (red!)
image-test-1 (just text): CLS 0.01 (green)

Both pages take about 0.6s to load. Page 1 gets a performance score of 88 (yellow), page 2 gets 100.

The CLS should be below 0.01 even with images on the page.

mine behaves exactly like in the video until the 10th second. When you click on the header logo it selects header logo in mobile menu sticky. Mine would switch to the regular mobile menu!

I have assigned blank header template to both desktop and mobile. When creating the sticky menu for desktop there was an empty column where I had to copy the content. After that I could remove something I did not want in the sticky menu.

When I click on sticky mobile menu in the Website Manager the Composer switches to sticky on the left side, when I scroll the page it behaves sticky (like in your video). When I click on the sticky menu to edit, on the left side it says mobile, not mobile sticky! The right side still behaves sticky. But when I delete something it is deleted from the mobile menu not the sticky mobile menu.

I did change the block header template. Possibly that was when the drop down started to show up. When I set it back to default the drop down is still there.

it is set to filter by categories. When I started it showed:

All cat1 cat2 cat3 cat4 cat5

Now I get depending on screen size

All cat1 more

and a drop down list under more.

I need the whole list especially since I am having problems with the links not working properly (I opened another post for that) and the list does not close after clicking a link on mobile.

I found it! The problem was a missing div in the pods template. The shortcode works as expected.

thank you for your reply. This works for most shortcodes. Unfortunately it does not work for my dynamic content. It is a shortcode for a POD Template. I can add the shortcode in a post with Gutenberg but it does not work in the Composer.

I can even insert the CPT directly when I select the post type in Posts Loop. This would be an option if I could filter and format the output. Unfortunately I have not found a way to just show the post content. The data I need is for future events (six events from now on). An event only has a date, a title and a link. I need a formatted list of this simple data, filtered to current date, no image and not the unformated excerpt.
