How can I find out what is the real reason? I’m using an iPad for all of the content creation so constantly uploading updates manually is not a viable long term solution.

One of the things that get me confused is where/how to set/style the sidebar for each post/category.

It’s very unclear in the documentation.

I have already created my own templates. Just not sure how to fit it all together.

Also some tutorials such as about front end forms, custom post types, etc are very difficult to understand. It’s all text. It would really be good to have a few 15 minute videos where it is fully explained (not rushed or sped up) so we can understand and emulate.

Like a 101 video guide on how to build a real estate directory.
Or how to allow users to submit articles.

It would get the audience better and faster results and therefor generate more sales of the theme, as we would more rapidly buy extra licenses to put it to use.

The learning curve with only text, some deprecated, is extremely steep.

I’m not trying to change the category background color.
I’m trying to have the category title on the category page resemble the same as on the homepage: each category has a text color gradient on a transparent background.

I looked in File Manager. At first glance it looks like all directories are already to 755 and all files to 644.

How to fix this?
