Is there a reason why you link to a guide that is not revelant to the newspaper theme? Should not the theme itself take care of the favicon?

Can you please advice how to uplaod more files sizes this to my domain? I have uploaded the 16*16 pixel in the theme. In the link above, from @simchris there is no instructions in how to upload and name these in the right way, just this info:

Browser favicons – 16×16
Taskbar shortcut icons – 32×32
Desktop shortcut icons – 96×96
Apple touch icons – 180×180
WordPress sizing – 512×512

It would be fantastic if a developer that knows the Newspaper theme can advice.

Your favicon must be a multiple of 48px square, for example: 48x48px, 96x96px, 144x144px and so on.”

– Where in the theme shall I upload all these different sizes? How shall they be named and organized? In all my other themes, this just works out of the box.

Yes, I have uploaded the site to GSC, but the logo is still not shown in search results. This is kind of a big issue and I really wonder why this does not work out of the box from the theme?

Hi, is there a reason that the place in the theme /themepanel / Logo and favicon – does not work?

I have now also added the logo as suggested (Site identity -> Site icon -> Change image -> publish ) – in 512*512 (that seems far to large for a favicon?).

I have no idea though how to get Google picking up the fav icoon from the site.

I can not really understand why the theme is not optimized from scratch. I have not done any customizations or added code that will make the theme slow. I took for granted the theme should be optimized as my other theme was…

I think i must do something wrong and a step by step guide would be really great. When trying to drag and drop an element, I have not the opportunity to drop it to the right, only at all other modules.

Yes, I have this installed and the settings seems to be right (one large column to the left and a small column to the right), but I don’t get the option to insert content on the right panel. So I don’t have the same options as in the video.

I did find an easy solution.

1) Changed to 20-23 theme
2) Removed all plugins from past theme
3) Updated all other plugins
4) Installed Newspaper with no issues!

Thanks, right click on the row makes the delete option work. Very easy when you know you have to click on the “row”!
