Set Category Top Posts Style in template - reply

Thanks for your response.

I don’t want all new categories added to get the default category top posts style setting.

I want, say…
All new child categories added to Parent Category A to have the top posts style – Grid 1
and maybe…
all new child categories added to Parent Category B to have the top posts style – Disabled.

Which I why I wanted to know how it can be done in the template instead of doing it every time in the panel.
