It was indeed the Jetpack mobile theme, so deactivating that solved it. Thank you!

Actually not solved after all, the original problem is still happening. How do I stop the mobile version of the site being hidden behind a “view full site” option?

Nevermind, problem solved. I found the plugin responsible for it.
