Thanks very much for your help!
1. This was a very easy fix and took like a minute. What I’d wanted was to have the copyright symbol first, then my name, and the dynamic year last. The code you gave me makes it (C) 2015 Dane O’Leary and I wanted it (C) Dane O’Leary 2015. Is there a way to switch the copyright text you input in the theme panel with the dynamic date I just added? If there’s no simple way to do it, this is certainly good enough.
2 & 3. I tried to gain access to the “parts” folder so I could change those bits in the php files, but I was unable to get that deep into Newsmag using the WordPress Editor. Is there a way to edit those using the Editor? Or will I need some type of special program to change them, delete the them, and then re-upload it again with the modified php files?
Once I can gain access to that “parts” folder, I have no doubt that I’ll be able to make those changes and we’ll be right as rain. Thanks again!
I fixed #2. In the Newsmag theme panel, I changed the apostrophe in my name to &-#-8-2-1-7-; (without the hyphens, of course) and now it shows my name correctly… apostrophe sans the slash.
Still needing help with 1, 3 and 4.

Well that’s good to know, but now the problem that I’m having is that I want to use the very first footer template, the one that has three columns, but I need to modify some of the content in those templates (change “Contact us” to “Contact me”, etc). When I go into Widgets under Appearance, I see Footer 1, Footer 2, and Footer 3, but there’s nothing in them for me to modify.
Also…
3. Is there a way to change “Contact us” to “Contact me” in the footer where I supply my email?
4. Is there a way to change the widgets in the footer? Or at least modify the ones already there? Specifically, I’d at least like the center widget showing the most recent content to say “RECENT” instead of “MORE NEWS” if possible. I saw where you can change the footer template, such as the number of columns, but I can’t seem to find where you can modify footer widgets.

@andrei_luca Thank you very much for your help, it’s finally working! The “Photon” Module in the Jetpack plugin was the culprit.
@andrei_luca And still not working đ
@andrei_luca I just went through and deactivated all non-essential plugins and am clearing my browser’s cache now.
Do you mean clear caches as in clear my browser’s cache?

Still really needing some help over here, por favor.
I’m having this same problem. I’ve followed the instructions that are given here and even turned on the modal image setting under the theme panel. When I first click on an image on a post, the modal lightbox opens at first, but immediately redirects to the image URL. I need it to just stay on the lightbox view without redirecting to the image URL, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do this. I’ve tried removing the “Link to Media File,” and while clicking the link brings up the modal lightbox, it says that the image can’t be displayed.
HELP!
