I found this other solution and it seems to do the job. Will test and follow up if I get something working.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll drop the sub categories.

The tags can be omitted from the “Posts Loop” on the homepage, so that gets us there. The only issue I have is that these are tags for layout, not content, and would still be visible on the front end to site visitors. They don’t have IDs or anything for me to hide them. I suppose I could do something with string matching in JS.

Is there a way to hide specific tags from the front end that I’m not aware of?
