I have same problem.
Warning: is_readable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/Newsmag/theme.json) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www/wwwroot/xxxx.com/:/tmp/) in /www/wwwroot/xxxxx.com/wp-includes/class-wp-theme-json-resolver.php on line 353

i checked my folders and files permissions. (folders= 755 files =644. )

i added ” open_basedir = none ” line to user.ini
