I saw in some forums that people can remove it through functions but some were able to remove it through css. Maybe you could show me a css way.

Answering number 2, The hover effect I would like is when it switches to a different image when you hover – just like in the ‘column content’ element. I prefer to use the single image (instead of column content) because it is more flexible for me. Thanks again.
