But I think we need two menus on top of the pages like this site does it: http://www.deine-tierwelt.de/
We need our normal menu from our main page and a second one directly under the menu for the blog.
Perhaps you have an idea how to solve it.

777 didn’t do the trick. Our solution on ubuntu was:

$ sudo apt install php5.6-gd

and then uncommenting

;extension=php_gd2.dll

in php.ini.

After that, restarting php-fpm, the http server (nginx in our case) and regenerating the thumbs did it 🙂

Thank you for your support. We have detected, that the template or whatever doesn’t take the scaled pictures but the originals. That makes the page-download-size around 15 MB per page.

For example:

http://magazin.ehorses.de/pferdewissen/

The pictures for the posts and pages are taken from original source. How can we achieve it, that it takes the scaled images?

Do we need the “retina support”?

thats what we did already.
We activated the thumbnails and installed and used the plugin” regenerate thumbnails”..it says “all done”, but its still not working…

what can we do else?
