The child theme isn’t working as expected though.
I’ve used the default child-theme and added td_footer_template_1.php in the parts folder.
It seems like it’s not picking it up.
As a test, i’ve added an additional class to a div, but isn’t visible on the site

was:

<div class=”td-container”>

changed into:

<div class=”td-container another-extra-test-class”>

Can you see/tell why it’s not being overridden?

It contains the default wp installation with only the newspaper and child theme activated

it seems there was an (some sort of) corruption in the child’s theme.
I’ve reuploaded an empty child theme and it seems to be working.
