Thanks for your help and patience with me! An active google easy font plugin was the problem. Issue was solved after deactivating it.

Hello,

I think I didn’t explain the issue well.

I did not make changes in Newspapers style.css, I made changes in my old themes style.css years ago. I then override the old theme with Newspaper.

In my old themes style.css I changed e.g. the font of h1, h2 and p and the text color to #001447.

Today, after overriding the old theme with Newspaper this style changes still show up. I also deleted the old theme via FTP.

I also tried your advice of resetting the theme setting. Didn’t help unfortunately. I then changed the theme to another one and fully deleted Newspaper. I then uploaded Newspaper again, because you wrote that this will override old settings. Unfortunately it didn’t.

How can I reverse the changes that were done a few years ago? Is there a way at all? E.g. I don’t want my text color to be #001447 (darkblue) anymore. But I can’t change it via Theme Panel and I also don’t see a solution to change it via style.css, cause there is no code that shows the old changes (like text color beeing #001447).

Thanks for the update tip, but at the moment I’m not sure if I can use Newspaper with this issue or I have to switch to the old theme and style again.

Hi Calin,

thanks for taking a look for me! I checked Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css and there is no custom css there.

I then tried out the custom css you wrote me

.td-container h1, .td-container h2, .td-container p {
color: #111111;
}

but still p,h1,h2 remain #001447 on pages and posts. Also p, h1 and h2 have predefined font styles and font sizes I can’t change via Theme Panel.

Is there a way to bring everything back to the original default settings oder to delete all changes that were made? What would be the easiest / smartest solution to solve this issue?

Thanks for your time!

Hello Calin,

thanks for your reply. The issue occurs on all pages and posts. E.g. if I want to create a new post and write something the standard text color is dark blue (which I changed it to years ago). Changes in Theme Panel wont help. I would need to color every block in that post black manually.

Here is an example: http://handwerkerkosten.net/hecke-schneiden-preise/

The post title is in dark blue, even though I chose black in theme panel. The text color of the first paragraph is dark blue, aswell. The first h2 is in a font that is completely different than all others, even though they have all the same in theme panel. The rest of the post I colored black manually to show the difference.

Hope that helps.
