The modal image feature was not turned on. here is what I found when I clicked on the edit button:

So, what do I do now?

Simon, thanks for taking a look at this. I removed the code because if anyone went to the site and clicked on the link it wouldn’t piss them off. I have put the code back in. Here is what it looks like from my end. https://www.screencast.com/t/0YMXwCqD0tH

I have opened an in cognito window and it looks the same as in the example above.

When I click on the image, this is what I see: https://www.screencast.com/t/RUKHq66b

I have deactivated every plugin except Visual Composer and cleared cache. The problem was not fixed.

I have copied and pasted what is entered in wp-admin. You can see the post on the site here:
http://newsworthyinfo.com/wife-leaves-husband-of-22-years-over-political-differences

The image does not appear where it is supposed to and it does not link to the GearBubble page as it should.

<h2>How Serious Is the Divisiveness</h2>
For example, in the Reuters’ survey, Gayle McCormick, a retired California prison guard, called her husband’s approval of President Trump a “deal breaker.” Because of his affirmed support of Trump, she made the decision to move out of their marital home after 22 years of marriage.

Anti=Trump TeesMcCormick is 73 years and reports that she felt “betrayed” by her husband. He did not discuss his choice for president, but casually said that he would be voting for Trump while he and McCormick were having lunch with friends last year.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on what to do next?
Hate the thought of deleting the website and uninstalling WP and starting over, especially since there is no guarantee this won’t happen again. Appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

I made every change recommended in the guide… nothing changed with the theme problems.

Sorry, I can’t help with this one… beyond my level of knowledge. Good luck.

It seems the most common problem is that when you download the theme it is in a zip file along with other files that shouldn’t be installed. You have to extract all the files and locate the included zip file that is the actual theme. As far as ftp settings, I used FileZilla, entered my wp login and copied over to the server. Hope this helps.

I uploaded the theme with FTP and it worked, so please disregard my post.
