Hi Calin,

You still don’t seem to understand my question. Let’s not focus on the homepage for a second.

Here is a video link giving the exact detail query to see if maybe you can understand my question a lot better.

Can you let me know if it is possible to get the page to respond correctly please?

Thanks so much.

Hi Calin,

It seems like you did not quite understand my question so let me try again.

There appears to be an issue with the Newspaper theme and WordPress setting for blog posts. Let me explain by giving you a few examples.

I created a page using the Tagdiv composer which is fine. Here is what the page looks like before I go to the settings in WordPress and I assign it as the official “blog posts page” – https://www.staging1.successunscrambled.com/our-podcasts/

If I head over to the settings in WordPress and go to settings -> reading -> posts page and place this page or a duplicate of that same page as the official “posts page” this is what happens – https://www.staging1.successunscrambled.com/loop-template-9-full-1/

As you can see in the 2nd example I used a cloud template without any adjustments as the page.

Where in the Newspaper theme is there template coding that instructs the page to behave differently when it is assigned as the official “posts page”? As you can see this coding overrides the fact that I want this page to be displayed as a regular page without a sidebar but there is a bit of coding somewhere that is preventing that from happening.

Can you please advise?

Thanks,

Alven

Hi Calin,

I followed the instructions listed on your documentation regarding having a page for recent blog posts that does not have the sidebar. I even went through the trouble of creating a new page and choosing the page builder plus overlay menu but that did not work.

Is there a way to remove the sidebar from the page with a collection of posts but leaving a sidebar for individual post pages? See example here with the sidebar; https://www.staging1.successunscrambled.com/our-podcasts-2/

It appears that the Newspaper theme is unsure how to treat this type of page as the ability to chose a template type has disappeared after I published the page.

Thanks,

Alvern
