I just want to add something to this. I think that the theme would benefit hugely, if you improved that “panel” with share icons. It has so much potential. For example, you could style it, so it resembled the menu panel a little bit, alternatively, you could do it like this, which is pretty cool: http://puu.sh/4XLca.png  You can find it on AndroidPolice.com.

I have to disagree with Adsense, ever since they came up with the Async version of their ads. Basically, it makes sure that your page loads first and then it will load the ad.

We use W3 total cache and it is a beast. Absolutely speeds up your website, especially when you have a lot of content and a lot of visitors. We use page cache (memcached), browser cache and database cache (also memcached).

Thanks for your reply. I really like that widget, I think it is nice, minimalistic and fits the theme perfectly! However, and it is a quite a big however, in the example I posted few days ago, you can actually like the page or follow the website from within the theme. With this widget, you need to open facebook, twitter or whatever else and then like/follow it there.

I found that being able to like something from within a website gives you uncomparably more likes/followers.

Would you think about giving us instructions on how to minify the css with a plugin like W3 Total Cache? I’ve tried it but those settings are quite complicated, but the plugin itself is extremely helpful.

I do agree with you, Newspaper is one of the best looking themes out there and I totally dig the reponsiveness on different screen sizes. I’ve had the opportunity to try out different “premium” themes, which were a nightmare to customise. This is by far the best modern theme that I’ve tried.

Bit more refining and it will beat anything else out there.

My point is, we shouldn’t need to decomment anything, i.e. do any hardcoding to activate it. The same goes with my homepage, I’d like to have the information who has written those articles. If you don’t want a lot of text there, my suggestion would be to use little icons, so little icon of clocks for date and time, you have got the eye for views and comment bubbles for commnents and perhaps a little icon of an user or a little person for the author.

All I am saying is, this is a must and I still can’t understand why it still isn’t included in version 1.5.

I had a quick look at their other themes and they did include the by line in them, so I am not sure why they haven’t done the same thing here. Hey, let’s hope the devs are listening. If they don’t want it to be the default setting, they can always add an option in the admin menu, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

I think I’ll have to live without mobile ads for a while and have done with it.

What happens when the theme gets updated? Will have to redo all the edits in order to get everything back on track again? This is my point, with custom CSS box (like in megamenu) you can input your own css without having to hardcode it into the template, so when the theme gets eventually updated, all of your code stays in tact.

Hi, yes after I increased the values mentioned above, everything started working ok, even the demo install.

If you want the category to display posts with small images, go to where your categories are, click on one of them and then you’ll find all the necessary settings at the bottom.

So you need to go here: wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category and then choose the category you want to edit and at the bottom change the “Layout” to Module 9 for example.

Thanks for not answering my query. I found where the problem is. I went to my webhost and increased the values of php memory_limit (MB), php post_max_size (MB) and php upload_max_filesize (MB).
