I see that there has been no progress on this front. I still have to use the CLEAR button under Theme Status to clean the transient entries in the database.

Since my website has significant traffic, the entries bloat the database and increase its size to hundreds of MBs.

Please can you tell me if you plan to fix it in the next update?

I checked it. It was turned off already. I saved the settings once more and enabled Live Search.

I think this is also related to my previous post; the massive amount of Transient Entries was causing the CPU and RAM throttling.

However, after clearing the Cache from the buttons given on the Theme Panel, it looks like the function has recovered.

Live Search is now functioning properly and no longer consuming excessive resources. However, the Expired Transient entries should automatically be deleted multiple times a day.

The Cache Clear button helped a lot. Otherwise, I was clearing these entries through PhpMyAdmin, did not know the entries could be deleted from the Theme Panel. Please highlight this feature more, as high-traffic websites generate a ton of those redundant entries and without any expiry info added to the database.

There should be a cron job to clear expired transients. I am not sure if there is an expiry date added to these entries.

I cannot install a Plug-In as it’s a critical website with high traffic. Please ensure in the next update that expired transients are automatically deleted.

It created around 11,000 entries and bloated the wp_options table and affected the site’s performance negatively.

I have reverted to WordPress 6.8.3.

The Theme Panel, where it shows System Status, did have issues with 6.9. It wasn’t loading or showing any information.

6.9 is also not compatible with Cloudflare plugin. Also as soon as I started a new post or began editing, the CPU and RAM usage reached its max and website went down. Creating/editing a post became a headache.

You also need to increase your WP Memory Limit and Max Vars for WordPress 6.9 to function properly, especially on the backend/admin.

It’s only showing a blank page with a couple of links. Not loading information.

This probably fixes the issue. But the problem is, the video then can’t be kept full-width of the screen for mobile devices which is necessary for great UX. And UX is more important to me then dodging a Google Algorithm.

Gave it a custom width of 390px (450 px is default), still the issue is not solved.

The issue is not solved even in the last update. We did not get a reply from the Newspaper team if they are even working on a solution.

If they return the cost of the theme plus the revenue damages.

But most of the technical solutions suggested in this update need to be implemented in the code. Simply putting a video on top is not the solution.

The video needs to be smaller when it first loads and it’s wider in the Newspaper theme which is the real problem here (see my above posts).

The issue is not resolved, and neither have the developers replied to this post if they are working on a solution. This issue has given my SEO a big setback.

I’ve been waiting days to hear an answer to this issue. In my further research, the issue has to do with how the YouTube embed function is working.

The CSS that adjusts the dimensions of the video is loaded later and the page is rendered first, this shows the video Outside the Viewport at first (this is what the Google crawler sees and renders). The video is adjusted perfectly later on. But Google marks it as Outside the Viewport area (see screenshot below).

The example Default theme page I have posted in my above post has the video on top and is still Outside the Viewport.

The articles cannot always have the video on top, they need to be in context.

But I cannot find a page with embedded video on the Life Pro News theme option.

I don’t fully agree, I have been a web dev for a long time and this has to do with how the video is rendering on the page (read my previous reply in detail).

I need to see and test a demo page on the Newspaper Life Pro theme to see how it renders on mobile. TagDiv did not embed a video in a single page on the Demo website to let us see how it looks and how to make it Full Widh, not even in the documentation.

I just want them to show us a page with embedded video, let’s see how it looks and renders.

The issue is widespread because the majority of existing websites aren’t rendering the video correctly. I have turned off Lazy Loading for videos on mobile for now to see if works, but apparently do not.

We’re here to solve the issue, not put it under the carpet. Since it is impacting my SEO and revenue, this is a serious issue.

The core developers at TagDiv can understand the technical issues I am talking about here.

Ok. So, I did some research and did my own testing. Looks like when the Google Bot crawls the page, the YouTube video is actually Outise the viewport because when you see this example page on a mobile device/browser inspector: https://www.teslaoracle.com/2020/08/10/giga-austin-landscaping-drone-video/

You can see that before coming to its final form, the video is expanded vertically and horizontally, it settles after a few moments. This is what is causing the issue and it’s definitely coming from the theme not anything to do with my custom CSS as I also tried removing the CSS and re-testing.

This is causing huge SEO issues for my website and has given a dent to my traffic hence lost revenue, please fix it and provide and update to the theme, so that publishers like me can recover from the loss.

However, the issue seems widespread within the last week or so.

The CSS is there in the panel already, I will try re-pasting it. However, I am testing it by downgrading to the previous version.

The issue only occurred after I updated the theme to the latest version. The graph started dropping on 6th October, the day after I updated the theme.

I did not make changes to any files, just some additional CSS through the Theme Panel.

The error started occurring after the new update.

I think it’s happening because I am stretching the video to Full Width horizontally. In the Demo websites, you showed Full Width videos on demo pages but when I installed the theme, it kept margins on both sides, I had to look at the code of your Demo website to make the videos go full-width and there is nothing recommended in Documentation for the best way to make videos full width on mobile devices.

Please recommend the best way to make videos Full Width like they are on Demo Pages.
