Hey Anamaria,
Thank you. I will think about that. My dev-team will take a look as well. So, if needed, I will get back to you.
Best regards,
Jaap
Hi Anamaria,
Ok. I understand, but I am not a developer. Is there a way you can give me some pointers?
Hi Anamaria,
It is indeed a Child Theme issue. How can we fix this?
Hi Anamaria,
Yes, I have a Child theme active. But I can’t switch to the main-theme, for it is a production-site.
But do you mean that some or all options in the theme don’t work anymore a soon as a child-theme is active?
Here you can see three screenshots: one with the ad-code, a screenshot of an ad visible in a review, and a screenshot of a news-article (normal post) without the ad visible.
Hope this helps.
This is exactly the issue: news-articles, just like background stories, videocast-articles, etc, don’t show the banner. Only reviews. I can’t figure out why that is: I have entered the ad-code via the ‘Ads’ menu of the Newspaper-theme (Article inline ad). I added the code that is necessary for ‘non-google-ads’. So, why is it not showing up?
Hi Bettina,
Ah… I know why you don’t see the banner. Most campaigns are country-locked. I have set one in-article-banner to world-wide. You should see it now.
This is part of the code; I had to remove stuff because of the security.

Hi Bettina,
Thank you for the quick reply.
If you look at a review like this one, you can see that there is an ad in the post (afther 3rd paragraph).
If you look at any other posttype, like a news article, you can see that ads are not loading.
I have entered the ad-code via the ‘Ads’ menu of the Newspaper-theme (Article inline ad). I added the code that is necessary for ‘non-google-ads’.
I cannot post any reply with links or code. I get a spam message.
I wanted to put this just under the main menu. So, not a category page. But can’t I just hide the ‘sample category’ and show nothing?
Hi Dimitrisv,
Thanks! I will try this when I need it again.
That’s unfortunate. It would be a real valuable addition to apply some filtering options. That way the menu would be a great option for sites like mine. Now the list will be just way too long.
I will look for other options now.
Thanks.
Sorry. It worked. It was a Redis Cache issue.
Thank you for your feedback.
I Found it, but it doesn’t save the setting and there is no save-option.

Dear Bettina,
It was a conflict with Learnpress. Once I disabled the LMS, it all went smooth. Very odd!
Best regards,
Jaap
By the way: the same delay when I use build in search. So it’s not relevanssi that is causing the delay.
Hi Bettina,
That is unfortunate. Hide it completely is not very usefull in this case. It might be a very usefull option to include, for that would give more flexibility.
Best regards,
Jaap
Dear Bettina,
Thank you for the quick answer. The website in question is https://alpha-audio.net. At the bottom I uses a Grid to show some courses: Screenshot
This Grid needs to be hidden for logged-out users. They need to see a text-message with a link to log-in.
I hope this helps!
