But you already offer the post view counter, see screenshot: https://snipboard.io/5d3pI7.jpg I have it working with your theme.

I just wanna know where you store these views.

Hi, sorry my mistake… took the wrong screenshot:
See here the two single templates: https://snipboard.io/LTpFxU.jpg

But in the post setting there are three singles templates: https://snipboard.io/3JFUYo.jpg
Where can I change the default template with tagdiv composer?

jansena
tagDiv Member

thanks for your reply, I was not clear enough so I will try to make it more clear:

I’m using two cloud templates as you can see on:
https://snipboard.io/lzHUMh.jpg

That’s also similar as in the Theme Panel overview: https://snipboard.io/0d2vyq.jpg

But in the post setting in a post I can see three (besides the panel)… Every old post uses the ‘default’ template…he is not using the template which is set in the theme panel. Where does the default template come from? And where can I style this template with the tagdiv Composer?

Hi,

Will you support the child theme for mobile in the near future?
I really missing that right now.

I have the same kind of problem… very curious about the answer

jansena

Hi,

I still have the problem. I have the ajax post views option, like in the screencast screenshot you send.
I have just updated the theme to the lastest version. Like you said I have disabled all the plugins except visual composer, cleared the cache. (I don’t use a CDN so I can’t reset them). I have also updated wordpress to the latest version.

Still not solution for it. Any more ideas how I can solve this?

Hi Catalin,

Ok, that’s exactely what I was hoping how it should work.
The problem is that on my website the counter loads every time when I go through the smart list.
How can I solve this?

Regards,

Arno

Hi,

Ok, so if I want to use an third party breadcrumb I have to change all the html in all templates?
Is there an easier way to change this? Because after every Newspaper update I have to redo this in all files.

Hi,

I’m trying it locally, so I can not link to a webpage.

But I will try to explain it again. Now I have the following structure:
example 1: Home > Category > Subcategory > Article

But for some categories I need another sublevel, so I will get the following:
example 2: Home > Category > Subcategory > Subsubcategory > Article

(For both structures, the breadcrumb will show exactly the structure as it is)

For SEO the subsubcategory is a little to deep. So what I was trying to do is to skip the subcategory and subsubcategory, so I only will get:
Home > Category > Article

For the menu, I want to keep the original structure that I had before example 1 and example 2.
But because I skipped the Subcategory and subsubcategory, I created ‘Pages’ for this. The benefit of using Pages, I can use visual composer (and show the categories)

So the Menu will be:
Page > Category > Article (but litterly the structure is Category > Article

Until now there is no problem, because in the menu section you can link to pages, categorys, tags etc.

But the problem is that the breadcrumb never shows the ‘Page’ section of the menu. I hope it is a little more clearer.

Is there a way for ‘showing’ the Page in the breadcrumb (like in the menu) to show it in the breadcrumb.

Thanks for now

I have the same problem. The admin area is very very slow and also the mobile version (using the mobile theme plugin) is way slower then the desktop version.

What could be the problem?

I know but I was talking between the difference of version 6 and 6.1

jansena

The only thing is what I don’t understand, if I use the speedbooster plugin (v4) of version 6.0 and comment out the return:
if (!in_array($active_plugin, $this->allowed_plugins)) {
define(‘TD_SPEED_BOOSTER_INCOMPATIBLE’ , $active_plugin);
//return;
}
}

js_composer.css and styles.css are moved to the footer.

But if I use speedbooster plugin (v4.1) of version 6.1 and I do the same then the js_composer.css and styles are moved to the footer.

I should aspect that this should work the same, but in this case v4.0 was doing a better job.

Hi Radu,

On your demo website I see that you have the same problem: bbpress.css, js_composer.css, style.css are also in the head and not in de footer:

<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’bbp-default-css’ href=’http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/css/bbpress.css?ver=2.5.7-5693&#8242; type=’text/css’ media=’screen’/>
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’js_composer_front-css’ href=’http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.css?ver=4.5.2&#8242; type=’text/css’ media=’all’/>
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-theme-css’ href=’http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/themes/011/style.css?ver=6.1d2&#8242; type=’text/css’ media=’all’/>

Are you also using the wrong plugins or is something else not going ok.
This problem I didn’t have with version 6 after commenting the stuf you showed in the screencast.com

Yes after defining it, it fame automatically in the settings. Afterwards I had to regenerate the thumbs again. And I had to clear the cache folder (because it kept my old dimensions)

jansena
tagDiv Member

Okay… now I have fixed it. I had to enable the in the theme panel in block settings > thumbs on modules & blocks the new defined format.

Also I had to delete the cache file in wp-content. Because after done all these 3 steps I still had the old version. But not it seems I have fixed it (locally)

jansena

Maybe I can try it for now (only object-fit is not supported by most browsers) and wait for tagDiv to give me a better solution.

It doesn’t make sense why he won’t create my new thumbnail format in the td_config.. but hopely can tagDiv help me with that also

Thanks for helping…

jansena
tagDiv Member

I can change the size in the single_template_3.php
http://screencast.com/t/SYSHJWDwX

But for that I need to change an existing or create a new thumb size over here:
http://screencast.com/t/ybhYquhg

I still have the problem that he won’t make the new thumb size. Or I have to do something else, or the td_config is caching stuff, which I don’t think so, because if I change an existing thumb, then the old format won’t be created anymore, but also it doesn’t give me the new format.

I’m a little stuck…

jansena
tagDiv Member

Nope, it shouldn’t keep the aspect ratio, but like you said I want to have it cropped like the rest of the post styles.

I’m trying to make a new crop setting in the td_config but he just wouldn’t not make my new size.

I think it is a bug, or I am still doing something wrong.
Thanks for thinking!

The one in the example you gave:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/8-1068×712.jpg

it says 1068×712,

But if you open the image in photoshop or look at the dimensions the size is: 1068x552px

So the image is cropped in a different size then the image was

jansena
tagDiv Member

@surfpark It’s not the thumbnail, they are shown correctly. It’s is the main image

jansena
tagDiv Member

Ok, I see what you mean. But still curious why in the demo the size is somehow ‘cropped’ or showing maximum of 512px, while the image is larger.

jansena
tagDiv Member

But I take the same image dimensions (1688 x 1125) as the demo image:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/8.jpg

The thing what I found strange is that the image on the demo has width 1068 and height 712

But If you measure it, it really shows 552px

My image doesn’t take the image with -1068×712 behind the image name (it only takes the normal image name) and the size is 712. I want it also like in the demo to have it 552px
