Thanks for the response. My problem is that I dont want to giveup better pageload speed offered by mobile theme and need my posts to appear on front page based on modified date.
Is there any workaround possible for the same or any future upgrade to mobile theme is planned for this feature.

Thanks for your support but actually what I was looking is for mobile theme option. I believe the option what you shared will work on mobile view of a page but not for mobile theme setting.

Thanks for looking into my issues. Actually I installed another plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/make-tables-responsive/ to make tables responsive for the time being until I find a proper solution. Let me know if I need to disable that plugin.

You don’t support any of Tablepress or WP Manage Ninja Table?
