Assuming you’re using the latest version (9.6). If so, you need to ensure that the mobile plugin be the latest one as well.

Next, you need to deactivate all of your installed plugins first. You then will install and activate the mobile plugin. It should work. It worked for me.

Soon, I hope tagDiv is going to streamline the software update method.

Today, I downloaded and installed Newspaper Version 9.6. Of course, I also tried to install and activate the mobile plugin. Again, it failed.

So, I deactivated all of the installed plugins. I then installed and activated the mobile plugin only. Guess what, it worked; yes, it was activated successfully that way.

But it wasn’t supposed to be that hard. Wouldn’t you think this software update method should be much easier?

Next, the author said, “The tagDiv Mobile Theme now works best with the AMP plugin to provide a complete solution for your content on mobiles. Yet the tagDiv AMP plugin has been discontinued.” So, I deleted the tagDiv AMP plugin. Is that right?

Furthermore, concerning plugins like Jetpack and iThemes Security, do you recommend I use them?

Thank you!

Still, something is wrong.

I did exactly as you said: first off, I removed the mobile plugin from wp-content/plugins; then its installation (.zip file) was done successfully.

But I saw the error message after activating it (see below). Why?

“Fatal error: Cannot declare class Mobile_Detect, because the name is already in use in /home/240585.cloudwaysapps.com/nsfwdtrwgu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/Mobile_Detect.php on line 28”

Also, I’ve activated the tagDiv Speed Booster plugin. Yet its description reads, “Speed booster for Newspaper 7 and Newsmag 3 themes – It moves the styles and all the scripts of the theme to the bottom when needed. It activates internal theme optimizations for better speed and it adds async js. Version 4.9.1 | built on 06.02.2019 12:12 | By tagDiv | Visit plugin site.”

Since this is Version 9.5, this plugin is no longer required, right?

Now, my Newspaper theme is Version 9.5 on WordPress. Still, I’ve got this error message after hitting the Activate button of the mobile theme plugin, even though its old name had been disabled.

“Fatal error: Cannot declare class Mobile_Detect, because the name is already in use in /home/240585.cloudwaysapps.com/nsfwdtrwgu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/Mobile_Detect.php on line 28”

But then I saw the mobile theme plugin description as follows:

“tagDiv Mobile Theme. Loads a simple mobile theme on small devices. Please note that the theme is already responsive and this plugin is not required. Version 1.1 | built on 06.02.2019 12:12 | By tagDiv | Visit plugin site”

Perhaps, it’s not a required plugin. What do you think?

This is what happened: I’ve installed and activated the latest mobile theme plugin, which was released on February 6, 2019. But the main theme is Version 9.2.2, not 9.5.

While I downloaded the latest theme version to my computer hard drive on February 6th, it hasn’t been updated yet on WordPress. How do I update it? I mean, the method for theme update isn’t as convenient as plugins’. As you know, installed plugins can be updated with just one click on WordPress.

So, need I reinstall and activate the theme whenever its update is released?

I did as you stated. Now, this is what I’ve got, “The TagDiv Mobile Theme is not supported by the current activated theme. Please update your theme!

File message: /home/240585.cloudwaysapps.com/zrwhnstuxd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td-mobile-plugin.php.”

Moreover, are you familiar with this WPBakery Page Builder plugin? Do I need it? If the answer is no, can I delete it?

Thank you!
