Hi,

Thanks for providing me with this information, it does help in understanding the process, but the images that I am referring to are not the “Featured” images. I should have given you more precise details.

I have multiple posts that operate as guides, where I have 10’s of images in the post content, or even 100+ images in the post content. In the past, if I needed to update one or all of the images, I would start by deleting the image in the Media Library, then adding the image from the post content. I would do this to ensure that all the other ( 10 ) alternative images are being created.

#1: I hope this makes more sense as to my problem, I am looking for a way to replace the images in the post content, without having to delete them from the post, just to ensure that the thumbnails are being recreated when I upload the updated image.

#2: After reading the answer, just to be clear about the need for the ( 10 )
alternative thumbnails, they serve the purpose of readjusting to the theme when it is resized or in a mobile format?

#3: For the Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, and I noticed that the plugin that I suggested, they also have a software that regenerates thumbnails, reGenerate Thumbnails Advanced, do these plugins work with the current procedure embedded in the Newspaper theme? If I use one of these plugins, I would like to not create duplicate images or thumbnails, apart from the procedure already used by the Newspaper theme.

I appreciate the help that have been given.

Hi,

That worked perfectly! Thank you.

Just in case anyone else finds themselves in this same situation, needing to pass variables throughout their site, without session variables, here are the files that I updated, per the directions that were provided above:

logo.php ( …/parts/header/ )
logo-h1.php ( …/parts/header/ )

I noticed, as I changed the header selection in the theme panel and also transitioning to a mobile screen size, the variables were not passing, so I update these as well, which solved that problem for me:

logo-mobile.php ( …/parts/header/ )
logo-mobile-h1.php ( …/parts/header/ )
logo.php ( …/mobile/parts/ )

At your earliest convenience, plus to help anyone else reading this in the future, can you please verify that the above ( 3 ) files being updated would satisfy any other possible header or mobile theme combinations.

Thank again for your help.

-Jorge
