Hi

Thank you that seems to have solved my problem although I look forward to the Yoast fix.

Many thanks for all your help

Hi

So there is a problem after all. That is kind of satisfying as I thought I was going crazy.

OK hopefully the last request – how do I access the classic editor (I dont use Gutenburg or Elementor – its WordPress.org/TagDiv/Newspaper/Yoast ) as in my PAGES there is no option that I can see to do this? It is so different from POSTS which is so easy! I can see classic editor when in the Yoast Front End Inspector as it slowly freezes but I am guessing you are trying to direct me somewhere else?

Can you help because as you may recall I did not create my site and the guy who did has gone AWOL so I am a little lost just now trying to complete what is an extremely basic simple task to update my Page title and meta description of my home page.

Many thanks

Rupert

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I have managed to make some progress but have now run into another issue. I managed to find the Yoast SEO inspector and hoped that by EDITING I could update the home page and other pages.

I ran into an issue with the page freezing and searching online I went through a process of clearing three sections within Tools/Yoast Test :

1. Reset Prominent Words calculation
2. Reset Seo roles and capabilities.
3. Reset Internal Link Test

I then re ran the seo optimisation but am experiencing the same issues of a frozen page.

Can anyone help so I can edit my PAGE TITLES AND META DESCRIPTIONS on my home page and other pages. Posts are not an issue.

If I uninstall YOAST will I lose work ??

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi Anamaria

Thank you so much – while the comments box was ticked I think the problem was that I had ticked that users MUST be registered and logged in to comment. Once I changed that the comments section appeared!

Thanks for your help – the ticket can be closed.

Hi Anamaria

Thank you for the reply.

I have ensured both of those items are ticked but still the page is not showing comments.

I feel the problem may be related to the comment that shows in the “Comments Section” as follows:

Comments Pagination Block: paging comments is disabled in the discussion settings”

I dont understand this comment when I have done the previous actions that you suggest ?? What else could the problem be ?

Rupert
