I can work with it, I think, Calin.

Looks different on each, but I can edit each device with negatives.

Much thanks, once more!

Are you seeing same on spacing for mobile?

Mobile is my issue, others look ok.

I’m not using AMP due to other issues it causes.

I wonder if it’s AMP?

I can test, but let me know on your end 4 mobile.

Thx.

BY THE WAY, even though the Vimeo element did load and let me edit, when I added id’s, none showed.

I’m using youtube right now, but that’s my feedback on vimeo. I did the update, too.

Thanks.

You API idea reminded me perhaps try a new api key.

Looks like it worked.

Thanks for the reminders, Calin!

Thanks, still looking into this, Calin.

By the way, for anything regarding the child theme, it’s unclear to me, this online help.

Let me just ask to cut to the chase:

If I use a child-theme plugin, then:

If the main theme offers a theme update,

will there be a way for me to somehow use my existing child-theme files by applying them to the main theme update, if and when the update occurs?

I ask because:

It was only after setting up my site that I read a child-theme wasn’t necessary or something like that, regarding this theme.

That with a child theme, I may risk something.

But, I’m already in this situation. 🙂

Thanks!

That is what was needed.
Great job as usual.
Thanks, Calin!

BY THE WAY:
How and/or where can I edit that text?
I see it in the span area, but not sure how to code for it or alter it.

Apparently, I have custom css on the brain.

For some reason, I thought something was overriding the white color in that field.

Not the case. Thanks as always, Calin!

OH, by the way, I’m getting “MORE VIDEOS” showing in the bottom of the youtube player on PAUSE.

Any way to prevent?

I have used “rel”0” on embeds in past, but not sure about this player. Any thoughts? thx.

Hey, no problem, Calin. Thanks for letting me complain a bit.

So, just now I toggled my wordfence firewall and tried some fields which I had already tried.

Well, with the playlist and channel id populated, I saw the player show, now.

So, I re-activated my wordfence firewall and it still works.

Well, not sure what changed, but I want results so I will take it, nonetheless.

One small matter, not huge but curious:

Have you seen the youtube player, on mobile …

As I scroll while a video is p;aying, there becomes a gap between the video and top of the list. If I select aother video, it syncs the space back up, and tightens back up.

But, I can reproduce it. I think it should remain all tight, vs loosening up and creating that gap of space.

Just curious if you knew about, if i can do anything, and regardless, if it can be reported if not reported, yet.

Just picture what i said, if possible. A snapshot just shows about a player’s row height as the gap, approximately.

Thanks, Calin. For now, I will standby on vimeo and tweak this youtube.

By the way, still testing, but only channel option is working. I’ll try some id’s for videos, even though i’d expect the playlist option to work.

Still testing. Thanks for reporting your test, as well.

PS: So, I used to manage a support desk.

While you’ve been helpful and kind as we work through my issues, this brings me to another related issue for video playlists.

So, as mentioned, this was my main attraction to the theme.

Well, so … stopped short on vimeo. Waiting for their fix on that.

Then, as if I wasn’t able to read basic items to get a youtube playlist going, you re-gave me some help.

It’s OK, I get it. Not everybody looks at the basics.

Even now, I could be missing something.

BUT, before i send for help, usually, typically … not always but typically, I check everything i can to get it working.

On this youtube playlist thing, just like that simple block text style edit i’m trying to do, I’ve basically spent way too much time trying to get these things into place.

Is there something else i can check for the youtube playlist not working? I re-generated my api credentials, just in case.

I’ve also filled in all fields for the element, related to getting a playlist going.

Nothing. Just the silly red tag telling me to enter an id for the playlist.

For support, what I was getting at earlier is:

I learned early on that my challenge as the support agent or then the owner of the team is to not just tell the user how a thing worked.

My revelation in that position was that anyone can do that.

What I learned was I had to crack the mystery of why it wasn’t happening for … them. 🙂

So, on my end, “all engines appear to be up and running.”

Now what? Thx.

(Nothing personal, Calin. I just need to get this simple stuff resolved. You do great work. I do appreciate all of your help! You must be swamped, too.)

Thanks, Calin. Just for my planning, any idea of timeframe, should they choose to resolve this? I actually purchased the theme for this specific feature, primarily. 🙂 🙁

Thanks for reporting and looking into this for me!

OK, Calin. I’m back on this one.

I think I’m still at square one with my request.

I wanted to look at those widgets you mentioned, first.

At this point, I’d be very grateful if you could just supply the custom css for that title text and bg color for that element in original request.

My apologies that I’m missing something.

I know you have shared info, but all the custom code i’ve tried fails to make the change and the widgets aren’t my answer (i don’t think), unless you point me to a specific one and guide me.)

Thanks. I’ll standby for it.
Much appreciated.

Thx, Calin. For this situation, if you can suggest how to hardcode it into the theme, I may have to do it. It’s FTC disclosure related, so I have to have it.

This will likely dovetail into a related question which I’ll plan to add into another ticket, which has to do with child themes.

(I always use a child theme plugin for my sites, but saw a recent article on your site about this maybe not being a great idea or suggested.)

We can plan to tackle that later. For now, perhaps a suggestion how to hardcode some text in for the blog/article main page.

Thanks!
