Hi @Liz, I check out few of your URLs (including the one you posted) and all are showing perfectly on Rich Pin Validator. Just be sure to purge your CDN and those remaining pins will start to show post title automatically as they get rescraped by Pinterest.

By the way, your website is quite appealing.

As Pinterest is always changing, it seems like Pinterest has started using schema instead of og and there are some improper schema markings in the theme. Although I am not saying that developers should include support for rich pins but they should check if the schema markings are correct as they are also important for Google search.

Hi Liz, Did you check the source code? Are these lines are still on the source code after you follow the procedure.

itemprop=”name” content=”admin” in the bottom lines

&

<meta name=”author” content=”your author name”>

Here are few more suggestions-

1. Try to disable all plugins and expect yoast SEO and try to rescrape.

2. If you are using caching plugin and CDN, purge both and rescrape.

3. Check to make sure og tags are getting inserted correctly.

Please note that in my site, the author name is not shown anywhere and it is turned off from theme panel.

I won’t be able to do it for you but if you can tell the site name I can check it out for you.

Hey @freddre did it worked for you?

Will you mind sharing the site name so that I can check out?

Sorry for the mistake. Here is the correct screenshot — http://screencast.com/t/jAsS6hlgEXr

As for the title disappearing, it happened to my site as well but after you complete the whole process, use yoast SEO and clear up the cache from caching plugin it should start to show again.

Hi freddre & Bogdan B.,

After hours of work, I finally found the solution of this problem. Now my rich pins appearing with the right tile.

Here is what I did:

1. It edited “td_module_single_base.php” and commented out the lines highlighted in the screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/1iMjU8uIlb

2. Then again from “td_module_single_base.php” comment out — $buffy .= ‘<span style=”display: none;” itemprop=”author” itemscope itemtype=”https://schema.org/Person”>&#8217; ;
$buffy .= ‘<meta itemprop=”name” content=”‘ . esc_attr(get_the_author_meta(‘display_name’, $this->post->post_author)) . ‘”>’ ;
$buffy .= ‘</span>’ ;

It is under “// author”

3. Then edit the post template you are using (you can find it out from WP dashboard>Theme Panel>Post Settings>Default Post Template) and comment out lines in this screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/VmU3nSLGkpR

4. Now open “td_wp_booster_functions.php” in comment out lines in this screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/1iMjU8uIlb

After doing all this my Pins are now appearing fine. Follow this only on your own risk. And be sure that you are using latest version of theme and yoast SEO. Also backup up your current theme just in case.

Hi,
Thanks for quick reply. I am already using yoast SEO to insert OG tags. But the problem is that pinterest seems to have started using schema tags instead of OG tags.

I looked through the source code and found this code

itemprop=”name” content=”admin”

Is this code okey? Don’t you think there should be Post Title in content=”admin” instead. I don’t have much knowledge of schema so I am not sure.

My problem is that pinterest rich pin is displaying everything right (discription, date publish, etc), but instead of post title there is “admin” in all pins.

I am quite frustated with this issue because our site gets most of its traffic from pinterest.

Hi TagDiv Support,
Can you please resolve this problem fast. I am also having this issue. Pinterest rich pin is showing “article author” as post title.

I tried switching the theme and the problem got resolved. So the problem is in newspaper theme.

I also tried deleting the code you suggested, and it got deleted in source code but in pinterest it is still the same.

Sorry for bothering you again. I have now changed the mood so I don’t want header to be as I said before.

I want it to be of full width. I am using header style 12 and here is the link to my site. I tried hard to make header of full width but I am unable to do it. I have attached the image of how I need it. It will be great if you can help.

Hi Catalin, Thanks for the help. The more from author box is now hidden.

Can please tell when will you release visual composer update. As I am having some serious troubles when I try to use yoast seo with visual composer.

The problem is that when I install yoast seo on my site that have newspaper and visual composer. It gets down and site only starts after I deactivate either visual composer or yoast.

I searched for this problem on google and found a reply from the plugin author (visual composer) saying that it will be fixed in version 4.9.

As of now, I am running different seo plugin but urgently need yoast seo. That’s why I am asking for the update.

Hi Emil G, I was also looking for the same solution but the link you have provided does not seem to work ( takes me to themeforest homepage).

Can you please update the link or write the reply here.
