Thanks for the links. I think this is the themes’ function, so it probably shows all time popular.
I will just remove this block from my site to gain performance. Thanks for trying anyway.
Yes, thanks.
Does this option allow to show time limited popular posts (for example, popular in last 7 days) or does it only show all time popular?
Thanks, I will give this a try too.
Do you know if it’s configurable to only 7 days of popular posts or does it show all time popular?
What’s the stats module and where to turn it on?
Too bad to hear that. Is there any other workaround?
Hi,
I have waited more than 7 days to see how the block works. I have noticed two things.
1. The posts displayed are still not top viewed posts
Some of the posts displayed are top posts, but there are also some posts in the block that are definitely not top posts. How do I fix this?
2. The block slows down the page
It seems that this block is using some unoptimized SQL as the page slows down by several seconds, this making it unusable.
// I have tried to paste the SQL query here, but the forum doesn’t allow it.
Our website has 80k+ posts. This query takes from 3 to 9 seconds and it bogs down the website.
Please help with these issues.
Thank you.
Okay, I’ll wait and see if it starts working.
Hello,
I have just added number of views to each post.
In TagDiv editor I have selected Popular (last 7 days) from the Sort order drop down. Now the posts are being shown, but not the most popular ones. Do I need to wait for 7 days so that all the data updates or should it work already now as it is?
Thank you, this worked.
It now seems to be updated and the error gone.
I see. What if I don’t want the info on views to be shown to the general public? Is there some way not to show it and still have the popular posts sorting?
Hi,
thank you for your reply.
Where does the element SINGLE POST VIEWS have to be added? To the page where I want to use Popular sort OR on every post?
I have completed the other two settings.
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
what’s the workaround for the existing posts that were created with previous versions of the theme and are not working after update?
Any news on this? Was “your best” good enough to bring a best solution?
Facebook video is still broken, which is okay for new posts if theme authors have decided so. But it’s unacceptable for previous posts. Should I go and change hundreds of posts manually?
Is the functionality for Facebook videos also broken for old (existing) posts?
Any update on this bug?
Hello 6 months later. I am experiencing the same problem. Were you able to find a solution?
Hi,
I am experiencing slow queries also and it’s killing the SEO and making server space moe expensive.
Are there any updates on this issue?
Thank you
