Thanks for making several hundred people who visited our site think our nonprofit was using a nulled theme today. Perhaps it would be a good idea tone down that notice, because apparently you can’t code things so it only displays when it should. Mistakes happen, I get that, but I can’t even believe you would create a message that takes over our website displays without notice and makes YOUR PAYING CLIENTS look like they are acting unethically.

Just for anyone else reading the thread. It seems like you if you use Yoast you need to deactivate and reactivate that plugin after adding the line in header.php, to make the page titles show up again.

I have confirmed that TagDiv Composer 2.4 is causing this problem. When it’s enabled, the title tags disappear from the page code. When disabled the title tags appear again (though, of course, the look of the site breaks).

This is consistent and repeatable and not dependent on whether other plugins are enabled or disabled.

I am running into the same problem. Title tags seem to be missing on all frontend pages after updating to 9.7.3. WordPress 5.1.1 (I’m on a managed hosting platform that doesn’t let me do WordPress updates, they push them through when they are comfortable with them).

SEO site audit reports no title tags, and if you look at the page source you can confirm they are not there. https://eewc.com This is on the frontend only. The backend (dashboard etc…) pages show the title just fine, and do contain the title tag.

I disabled all plugins except TagDiv ones and it had no effect on whether or not the title tag appears in the code.

Please advise ASAP. Don’t want the search engine placement I’ve worked so hard to get to be messed up! I really don’t want to revert to the previous version because then I have to mess with installing that image patch for Visual Composer again.

I think this was some kind of glitch. I did a lot of playing around disabling and enabling plugins, narrowed it down to the time when VC and tDC were both activated. I reinstalled VC 5.7 and things are working normally now.

Just in case someone else runs into this:
Setup: WordPress 5.1.1, Newspaper 5.7.2, tD Composer 2.4 with above patch, Visual Composer 5.7

Problem: I was unable to add images in either posts or pages via any method (classic editor, gutenberg, tagdiv composer, visual composer), I could add the image element using Visual Composer, but not make any changes to the image attributes, or add or change the image itself. As I disabled plugins I found that when both tagdiv and visual composer were enabled is when the problem happened. I fixed it by deleting then reinstalling the latest version of Visual Composer (5.7).

After installing your fix, the images are again showing at the correct size and with the shadow in the pages created with the Visual Composer single image element. However, as was the case before the fix, I am still unable to change the image used by the single image element, unless I go into text editing and change the image number. You might want to look into this as well.
