Where I can set up the featured image to become a Single Featured Image in my template?

Hi!
thank for your attention, I probably didn’t make myself clear. I should make the featured image that appears at the top of the single post downloadable. At the moment, only the images inside the post can be downloaded via “Save as ..”.
Is it possible?

Thanks for your attention. I need to increase the side space to show a background area as adv. I see that on all sites the width of the main content is around 1000px, so with quite all monitor we have a good visibility.
Can I find an alternative way to achieve this?

I’ve to set up a Fixed width (1000px), how can I make this thing happen?
do i have to work on every single row? and what is the correct way to fix this width?
