Actually, it works ok in Safari, so I used that browser.

I’m having trouble editing Yoast SEO on the home page. The WordPress editor “locks up” and Chrome asks if I want to kill the page or wait.

OK, thanks. That certainly shows the latest post… but it always shows the same post.

The “random” setting doesn’t seem to really randomize anything.

It would be ideal to have the “from post tags” choose something that’s newer… randomly choosing if the algorithm is not smarter in choosing a related post.

The suggested posts for my site (that started in 2005) are almost always from 2009 or so. It would be better to suggest more recent posts.

What do you mean by “black images”?? I am really not understanding.

I got it working. The default had been a .webp image. When I re-uploaded it as .jpg, I was able to set it as “full size” and now it appears as the placeholder as I wanted.

Hi – When you say, “now it’s OK” do you mean the default placeholder is showing?

That’s not the case for me.

I’m not totally sure what this means: “when you set a placeholder, set it in full image size, and not a thumb,”

Thanks for your reply. I set that image in the theme panel.

I did a “thumbnail regeneration” — and the new default image I selected isn’t showing. That space is now just blank instead of having the original theme default image.
