I don’t know what complex technical issue is behind the theme not recognizing the correct registration. However, those same brilliant minds created the webpage and graphics implying that the operator of the website stole the licence. That was not necessary. It was easy to predict that some innocent websites might end up being publicly accused.

I have 10 Newspaper-theme websites all related to legal and cybersecurity industries. Can you even imagine the reputational impact your mistake caused to your clients?

I figured it out eventually. My host’s (Siteground) “SG Optimizer” function has an option “Remove Query Strings From Static Resources – Removes version query strings from your static resources improving the caching of those resources” which seems to cause it. Once I disabled it, the pagination started working.

The option was enabled before, so there is some conflict with the new Newspaper.
