I think we should wait for a deeper fix, because introducing ASCII code every time we add a caption is not a good solution. Please, let us know when it is fixed.

Just one question, maybe a fool question.

For using sidebar banners, we have to add a code with 3 images for every screen format, another code to link the URL, add customized ad boxes, etc. It’s not precisably comfortable and it requires a lot of code actions.

What is the difference of doing this or using plugins like these to insert the ad banners in the sidebar?

Could you recommend us some plugin to do this? We need more than 15 banners in our site, and just 1 of them is a Google Adsense banner. The rest of them are image banner locally administrated.

As you can understand, it is terrible to modify the core files of the theme to allow 15 banners in every update.

It could be possible to add this freedom of adding custom ads in a new version of the theme? Remember that ads are the source of income of the online newspaper, and not always they work with Google Ads.

In our homepage we have some blocks with the same contents and categories. If we deactivate the unique article feature, the same news will be repeated in the different blocks, won’t it? We just want the slider news to be included in the blocks too.

There are a lot of plugins whose can do it, but they don’t ensure the compatibility and perfect integration with the theme. Maybe a good idea could be implement some of the features of these plugins, at least the basics. Your solution is not bad, but maybe including buttons to upload the banners and spaces to insert the URL (more than copying and pasting codes) could be an improvement.The possibility of adapting and generating automatically the internal banners (not Adsense) from the biggest image could be another idea.
But I’m not an expert, just a user!

Just a suggestion. Advertising, with or without Google ads, is the main revenue of a publishing company today. And it is really important. I think a great theme as Newspaper should have a more intuitive and practical way of managing advertising than copy and pasting links.
