Child CSS not overriding Parent - reply

When trying to use Custom CSS just on the parent theme, it doesn’t seem to apply either.
I have this:

.header-style-3 .td-logo img {
padding-top: 15px;
padding-bottom: 15px;}

.header-style-3 .container-fluid {
margin-top: 15px;
margin-bottom: 15px;
text-align: left !important;}

.sf-menu {
float: center !important;
text-align: center !important;}

But it’s not working. What can I do ??

How can I customize so that on hover it opens the MegaMenu but on click it opens the category?

Or if not possible, how can I delete the full category links underneath the MegaMenu?

It is a bit much
