Hi,
thanks for your answer. Alas it leaves me unsatisfied. As the plugin works flawlessly with every single theme I tested it with it seems to be a bit odd to me that you claim it’s not a theme-problem … it is -after all- only your theme having these problems.
I explicitly bought your theme to use it in a specific relaunch. We usually test all plugins and such as early as possible (same here) and only use those that don’t cause any problems. As we couldn’t test it with your theme before buying it your piece of advice is not helpful.
Especially since we stumbled across someone offering the Newsmag theme (not the actual version) for free (and the offer seems to be legit) we are heavily disappointed atm. In the end it is the content that makes or breaks a website but carefully chosen plugins that drive traffic and add value to users and publishers alike also have their share in the equation.
I also disagree with you that it must be a complex task because you either messed up the theme or the plugin programmer messed up the call to where it should be inserted. As all other themes work fine so far you can make up the numbers yourself …
Thanks for your feedback but you probably didn’t read my last comment? It IS working with MEGA MENUs but not with those (from a page). The screenshot shown by you has a MEGA MENU (from a category).
I also -of course- have the newest versions of each installed as you could also deduct from my writing above.
Your theme is breaking it as soon as you use a MEGA MENU (from a page). If you do this, the plugin’s output is somehow displayed in the MEGA MENU and not in the post.
To better show you where the problem is I set up to dev installations
A)
http://ubersocial.de/bricktest/ (where the plugin is working fine – NO MEGA MENU from a page present)
check a single post entry and you will see the plugin working: http://ubersocial.de/bricktest/2016/01/11/hello-world/
B)
http://ubersocial.de/brickmag/ (theme is breaking plugin – MEGA MENU from a page IS present: Bricktopia, Themenwelten)
check a single post entry and you will see that the plugin is ONLY displayed IN THE FIRST MEGA MENU “Bricktopia” (but not the 2nd “Themenwelten”) instead on the post!
I’d still be very interested in any hint you could provide. Still believe it is a CSS problem with your theme.

It is definitely a bug of some kind.
The plugin is working with Newsmag V 2.3.5 as long as I don’t have a MEGA MENU (from a page) in my main navigation menu. If I don’t add a MEGA MENU (from a page) to the Header Menu (main) the plugin is displayed correctly on every post prior to the comments section.
If I add a MEGA MENU (from a page) the output is lost on every single post and is displayed in the MEGA MENU (from a page) instead. And only there. EDIT: and only(!) if I am in single post view (where the output of said plugin should be visible …).
So I guess it has something to do with how Newsmag handles CSS classes to display a MEGA MENU (from a page). Unfortunately the documentation is more than meager on this …
Any ideas?
@andrei_luca – did you use a MEGA MENU (from a page) in your screenshot?

Hi,
thanks for your time looking into this. I just bought the theme 2 days ago and have 2.3.5 – so that is not an issue. I even did a clean install elsewhere and checked it. Not working. Which setup (can you post a full screenshot?) did you use to test it?
We researched your theme _after_ deciding for this plugin so it is most likely we will just use buyer protection from facebook and return your theme while looking elsewhere if we can’t get this to work.
Cheers, Oliver
Hi Chris S,
thanks – but I already did all of this. The plugin is compatible up to WP 4.4.1, see https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/instant-feedback/
I turned of everything except VC and even tried the plugin on numerous other themes. All worked without a problem, even newer and more complex ones (ENFOLD for example). So I don’t think it has to do anything with the plugin …
Still thankful for every hint you or anyone else might provide.
