Finalmente lo he logrado. Ya he localizado cual era el problema, y ya ha quedado resuelto este asunto. Me queda una imagen un poco desproporcionada en el footer, pero, bueno ya la modificaré con más tiempo. Lo más importante es que la newsletter está activada y enlazada a la imagen del footer tal y como pretendíamos desde el principio.
