Thanks, but I tried as below,

1. Removed the child theme folder (Newsmag-child), then click the Appearance->Themes. We got 404.
2. Recreate Newsmag-child, copy style.css and functions.php from the Newsmag-child folder in the theme package. Same result, 404.

Any idea?

Thanks, I got a problem about the child theme.
On the Dashboard, when I click Appearance->Theme, the respond is 404.
“Ooops… Error 404”
Do you know how can I fix it?

Great! Thank you very much.
Please let me confirm the whole process.

1. Copy single.php & loop-single.php
FROM wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/
TO wp-content/themes/Newsmag-child/

2. Copy loop-single-1.php & single_template_1.php
FROM wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single
TO wp-content/themes/Newsmag-child/parts/single

3. Modify the files copied to the chiled theme.

Great! And the child theme is copied from the theme package 4.9.1.
But I tried,
1. Newsmag-child/loop-archive.php works.

2. Newsmag-child/loop-single.php not working
3. Newsmag-child/parts/loop-single.php not working
4. Newsmag-child/parts/single/loop-single.php not working

5. only wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/loop-single.php works

Maybe we need a different path?

Got it, thanks.

Now I found, the loop-single.php from tagdiv composer is the only source.
The file in the theme and the child theme are not working event the one in tagdiv composer is lost.

I suggest highlight this behavior in somewhere your document, and, update your theme and plugin to follow the child theme working rule.

Hi Calin,
Thanks, this is helpful. But I got a strange situation.
I have renamed loop-single.php to loop-single.hph, but the webpage is still working.
I have flushed the host cache. Do you know why can it work without loop-single.php?
